The wellbeing of our customers, staff and community is our highest priority. We are guided by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and we are closely monitoring the ever-evolving COVID-19 situation. We are strictly following our COVID-19 protocols across all our activities, walks and transport.

We want everyone who has booked one of our activities, walks or transport to know we are doing everything we can to keep you safe and provide a welcoming destination and experience.

Ridgeline Adventures COVID-19 Response

LEVEL 1 for Ridgeline Adventures.

Under Level 1 of the New Zealand COVID-19 alert system, Ridgeline Adventures can operate all its activities and walks using the guidelines provided by the New Zealand Government.

Physical distancing is not required under level 1 so Ridgeline Adventures can operate multiple bookings within each departure time ie. Guests that don’t know each other can all travel in the same vehicle.

Protocols Ridgeline Adventures follows under level 1:-

Guides and drivers will follow the Ministry of Health guidelines of regularly washing hands / using hand sanitizer, and sneezing or coughing into elbows.
Hand Sanitizer will be provided in all vehicles
At the start of each day drivers and guides are required to fill out a health form about their current health.
Guests will be asked to fill out a health form before our trip starts with them.
We will provide a Government COVID-19 QR tracker code that guests must sign into before the trip departs on the NZ COVID Tracer App. Manual sign-in will also be provided for those who need it.
We clean our vehicles in accordance with the Ministry of Health guidelines. MOH guidance(external link).

LEVEL 2 for Ridgeline Adventures

Under Level 2 of the New Zealand COVID-19 alert system, Ridgeline Adventures can operate private departures (guests that are already in the same bubble) across all activities and our “Level 2 walking option” for mixed booking departures, using the guidelines provided by the New Zealand Government.

Protocols Ridgeline Adventures follows under level 2:-

Private Charters and Tours are exempt from being legally required to wear masks while in their transport, however we will provide masks to drivers/guides and passengers if they would like to wear one.
Guides and drivers will follow the Ministry of Health (MOH) guidelines of regularly washing hands / using hand sanitizer, and sneezing or coughing into elbows.

For guests and guides participating in the Level 2 Walking option, it is recommended that people who are not in the same bubble stay at least 1 metre apart.
A minimum of a 1-metre gap will always be in place when our team and customers interact. This will change the way our guide greets our customers (ie. There will be no handshakes or high fives).
