After thirty-seven years driving a desk at the Universities of Leeds, Durham and Auckland, I took time out from work to come to Wanaka in winter 2014 with my wife Sue to learn to ski. I loved the place, the people and the lifestyle so much I never went back to work. I now spend my time teaching people to ski in winter and driving and playing music for weddings in summer (I play piano and keyboards).

My university career involved a lot of international travel, and the chances are I’ve visited your country and possibly even your city. Of all the places I’ve visited, Wanaka is the best place in the world, and I’d be delighted to show you some of our spectacular scenery on one of our tours.
