Twilight in the Tussock
(Tussock is the name given to an alpine snow grass)
An early evening experience like no other. Travel the backroads of a high country sheep farm to an amazing private viewpoint high above Lake Wanaka . Open a bottle of your favourite Central Otago Pinot and sit back in a comfortable chair, sample our tasty cheese platter and take in the changing light as the setting sun casts a myriad of shadows over the Southern Alps and Lake Wanaka far below. A wonderful option if your time in Wanaka is limited.

Wild Hills and Wine
Experience the stark beauty and solitude of the spectacular high country surrounding Lake Wanaka. Enjoy leisurely 4WD access to a breathtaking viewpoint high above the lake with far-reaching views to the snow-capped peaks of Mount Aspiring National Park.
This journey will take you to virtually untouched landscapes with your local guide providing a fascinating insight into the flora and ecosystem unique to this part of the world. Walking along a deserted ridgeline with only the sound of wind rustling through the ancient tussock grasses will take you away from 21st century chaos and provide you with some of the most impressive photo opportunities of your holiday.

Let us treat you to the true flavor of the region. Enjoy a selection of award-winning wines, wild game fare fruit preserves and pick-your-own fruit straight from the trees of a local orchard* all while exploring the back roads of Central Otago. Finish with a 3-course evening meal prepared from local produce matched to gorgeous Central Otago wines in the historical surrounds of the Luggate Hotel.
From Wanaka you will circumnavigate the sparkling waters of Lake Dunstan visiting Wooing Tree vineyard, Provisions Of Old Cromwell Town - sample freshly baked scones topped with fine local fruit preserves. Then visit a local orchard to experience picking your own fruit straight from the tree to take with you*. Northburn Station is next- superb wines matched with taste plate of farm-fresh produce including Northburn's own Merino lamb. Next is Bendigo Station near Tarras for wild game fare including wild rabbit hams washed down with delicious Bendigo wine.
