Lake Wanaka with this leisurely backcountry journey. Travel Wanaka's very own "road to heaven",  the private backroad of a working sheep farm (you may see Merino sheep, Black Angus cattle, red deer and lots of rabbits)

Enjoy a short, easy walk (10minutes) to introduce you to many of the native and introduced plants common to the area.

Upon reaching the highest point of the "road to heaven" sit back in a comfortable chair with freshly brewed coffee,  tasty treats and take in the stunning views of Lakes Wanaka/Hawea, the Cardrona Valley  and the majestic Southern Alps.

YOU WILL BE THE ONLY ONES HERE as we are the only company allowed to operate on this property, it is closed to the general public.
